GEDCO Excellence Sponsorship Initiative

Jean-Philippe Le Guellec, Amateur Athlete (Biathlon)

GEDCO's products and services are founded on high principles and a commitment for excellence. These same values transcend Jean-Philippe Le Guellec's quest for the podium on the biathlon race course! For this reason, GEDCO has decided to support JP effective in the winter of 2008 and on route to the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Born in 1985 in Kingston, Ontario and now residing in Québec, Le Guellec first started in the sport of biathlon at age 13 at the St-Bruno Cadet facility in Montreal. Since joining the Canadian Biathlon Team three years ago, he has achieved a 48th place finish at the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Italy, a third place result in the 7.5 km relay at the 2005 Junior World Championships in Finland, and became the 2004 World Youth Champion in the 7.5 km sprint in France. In 2004, Le Guellec was also crowned Youth Canadian Champion and Male Athlete of the Year by Biathlon Canada.
