UNIVERSITY PARTNERSHIPS
RESOURCES

GEDCO'S GLOBAL UNIVERSITY PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM
GEDCO believes that partnering with recognized universities and academic research organizations across the world is a great way to invest in the development of promising industry experts. By working in close collaboration with university students and faculty worldwide, GEDCO also believes it can learn and further improve its product to meet the ever-changing needs of its software users.

In an attempt to make OMNI 3D® Survey Design & Modeling and VISTA® 2D/3D Seismic Data Processing software more accessible to higher academic institutions, GEDCO has launched its Global University Partnership Program. Under this program, eligible universities receive either an in-kind sponsorship or a discount for GEDCO's latest and most cutting-edge versions of OMNI 3D® as well VISTA® software. Each agreement entitles the university to a minimum of five seats of either one or both software products.

GEDCO supplies universities with soft-key licenses, optimal for usage in a classroom or computer laboratory setting. Licenses are valid for one year, meaning that universities must renew annually to enjoy continued usage of the licenses and to ensure benefits from future product updates.

University partners are often eligible to join GEDCO's open training sessions offered in conjunction with major industry conventions.

In return, participating universities agree to share study results and commit to having students and faculty complete an annual usage survey to provide new insights on how to improve the products. Additionally, when applicable, recognition to GEDCO and its products (OMNI 3D® and/or VISTA®) are to be granted recognition in academic publications or research papers.
