BOREHOLE SERVICES TEAM
RESOURCES

GEDCO's Borehole Services Team consists of highly qualified VSP survey designers, acquisition planners, quality control staff, processors, and interpreters. Leading the Borehole Services Team is industry veteran, Rick Kuzmiski.

Rick holds a B.Sc. in geology from the University of British Columbia and has been responsible for GEDCO’s Borehole Geophysics division since 2004. Prior to joining GEDCO, he worked for Geophysical Services Inc. (GSI) for 6 years in geophysical data processing, where he spent the final 2 years as group leader of Advanced Technology Processing in Calgary. For 16 years, at Computalog Ltd./Precision Wireline Technologies, Rick was responsible for all aspects of VSPs (design, acquisition, processing and interpretation) as well as acoustic log processing. He is a member of the CSEG, SEG and APEGGA. He is also co-author of the SEG text book “VSP Interpretive Processing – Theory and Practice” and an instructor for the SEG continuing education course on Vertical Seismic Profiling.

In addition to being an active member of the CSEG, SEG, APEGGA, Rick is affiliated to the SEG Continuing Education Committee, acts as an SEG Course Instructor, and previously assumed various functions as a member of the Stampede City Kinsmen and the Calgary Children’s Hospital Research Board.
